Dubbed the “King of Fossilized Feces” by the Miami Harald – George Frandsen, a Royal Geographical Society Fellow and Explorers Club Fellow, has soiled his reputation to teach the world about coprolites, or fossilized poop. He currently holds two Guinness World Records for the largest collection of coprolites (over 7000 specimens) and the largest coprolite by a carnivorous animal (Barnum, a 26.5 inch T. rex poop). In 2014, George founded the Poozeum, the world's foremost virtual coprolite resource center. The website offers scientific research, historical discovery information, news, videos, and specimen photos for comparative analysis. Additionally, George loans specimens from his massive collection to museums across the country so that the public can see real fossilized poop and learn why it's so special. He hopes that his enthusiasm for coprolites inspires others, especially young people, to explore the sciences and prehistoric history.
